Intro to Snowflake for Devs, Data Scientists, Data Engineers course from Snowflake – Available for free on Learning Platform, this course is the first of an upcoming series launched by Snowflake as part of the Northstar Builder Education Program. This course will provide the basic skills needed to build on Snowflake and is a prerequisite for upcoming courses in the series. Learners walk away with an understanding of Snowflake’s architecture, core objects, and key features for builders.
The Science of Change Specialization from Kotter Training – This new Specialization is designed to equip learners with a fundamental understanding of change leadership, apply personal and organizational change management tools and discover key insights into human behaviors related to change. By the end of the courses, learners will be able to successfully manage their own change initiatives using the presented frameworks and identify strategies to drive measurable results.
New Professional Certificates from Google Cloud, ADP and Microsoft
Entry-level Professional Certificates on Learning Platform equip learners from all backgrounds -– no college degree or prior industry experience required — with skills for in-demand, entry-level jobs in just a few months. We’re excited to share these newly launched Professional Certificates that will prepare learners for jobs in Payroll, Cloud Data Analytics and Cybersecurity, and UX Design:
ADP Payroll Specialist entry-level Professional Certificate – Learners gain knowledge on how payroll services function as a strategic business resource. The program imparts a basic understanding of payroll terms, rules, and concepts necessary for managing the payroll function, including computation of earnings, deductions, and taxes. It also fosters key skills such as customer service, data gathering and analysis, and problem-solving for overall competency development.
Google Cloud Data Analytics entry-level Professional Certificate – A Learning Platform partner since 2017, Google Cloud launched their first two entry-level Professional Certificates this quarter. Designed for those looking to start or switch careers, this program will prepare learners for entry-level roles in cloud data analytics,, with optional modules introducing learners to GenAI topics including Large Language Models and the responsible use of AI.
Google Cloud Cybersecurity entry-level Professional Certificate – Five on-demand courses will allow learners to practice key cybersecurity skills and produce work examples to show potential employers. The first four courses build learners’ working knowledge of networks, security models, and tools used to assess and address threats, risk, and vulnerabilities. The final project focuses on applying the knowledge and skills gained and prepares learners to establish a career in the cloud security field.
Microsoft UX Design entry-level Professional Certificate – In this four-course Professional Certificate, learners can take advantage of hands-on projects and expert-led instruction, from conducting user research and creating wireframes to designing high-fidelity mockups and prototypes. This certificate is for learners who are switching careers or just getting started, as it will provide foundational knowledge and skills needed to thrive in the field of UX design.
